Deer Valley's New Trail Map

If you have been following the buzz around Deer Valley’s mountain expansion, the numbers almost felt too good to be true. Doubling in size. Seven new lifts debuting for the 2025-26 season. Nearly eighty new runs. It sounded like a skier’s dream more than an actual plan.

Yet it is happening. This winter marks a major turning point as Deer Valley evolves from a premium, boutique-feeling mountain into one of the largest ski resorts in North America. The terrain is jumping from just over 2,000 acres to more than 4,300 acres, catapulting Deer Valley onto a whole new stage.

To bring the vision to life, the resort released its updated trail map on October 17, 2025, and it truly showcases the scale of this moment. The expansion features expansive new terrain above the all-new East Village base, along with iconic peaks like Park Peak, Big Dutch Peak, Keetley Point, and Pioche Point officially pulled into the lift-served network. Seven brand-new lifts join the three that opened last winter, creating a network designed for efficiency, flow, and those classic Deer Valley smooth-snow days.

The map was created by renowned ski-map artist Rad Smith, protégé of legendary cartographer James Niehues. While his involvement had been announced earlier, this is the first full reveal with all lifts and trails in place.

As Deer Valley VP of Marketing Susie English shared, this expansion reflects both ambition and stewardship. The scale may be new, yet the resort’s soul remains unchanged: thoughtful, detail-oriented, and rooted in exceptional guest experience.

Bigger mountain, same Deer Valley elegance. This winter is going to be special.
