Park City’s Old Town neighborhood is defined by its historical presence, which is lead by the area’s rich mining history. Originally platted in the 19th century, Old Town properties are smaller than other parts of town, whereas you may find homes with multiple stories along the hillside. Old Town encompasses most of the area from Park City Mountain Resort with great views of lifts, colorful chalets, and an easy walk to nightlife. With a local focus on historical preservation, Old Town has retained its small, eclectic, artsy values that make it a draw to visitors year around A particularly well-known area within Old Town is what the locals and real estate community call the ‘gold coast’, focusing on the coveted ski-in/ski-out homes that back up onto the Town Lift. Today there are a handful of new condo projects from Main Street to Park Avenue that are either breaking ground or completing construction. With the plans of Deer Valley developing a town lift to Silver Lake make this area that much more appealing. Old Town is the backbone of Park City with events such as Park Silly Market, Arts Fest, and Sundance Film Festival.
