The Grand Hyatt is where Deer Valley East Village started. It was the first hotel to open in the new village, in late 2024, and its 55 private residences sold out before the doors opened. Today it is the one place in East Village where you can buy into a finished, operating hotel instead of a rendering, with the gondola, the new terrain and the village growing up around you.
Residences have balconies with mountain or Jordanelle Reservoir views, gas fireplaces and full hotel service behind them. Larger floor plans include bunk rooms and en-suite baths for every bedroom. Because the building is finished and operating, you can walk the residence, stay in the hotel and see exactly what you're buying, which isn't true of most East Village inventory today.
Dues are significant and cover a lot: amenities, management, security, insurance, exterior maintenance, cable, internet, snow removal and utilities including gas, water and sewer. In 2026, a two-bedroom residence carried dues of about $20,000 a year, and a four-bedroom about $62,000 a year. List prices in 2026 ranged from about $2.75 million for a two-bedroom to just under $9.5 million for a four-bedroom.
The Grand Hyatt is a large, busy hotel, and it will feel that way. The village around it will be under construction for several more years. And if you want the most exclusive brand in East Village, the Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria are positioned above it.
The Grand Hyatt suits buyers who want to ski East Village now, want a hotel to handle everything, and plan to rent when they're not using the residence. If you'd rather wait for a quieter, more exclusive product, compare the Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria. If you want more space and privacy, look at Marcella or the single-family options nearby.
