Upper Deer Valley is the part of the mountain people picture when they think of Deer Valley. It centers on Silver Lake Village, the small mid-mountain base where the lifts, the restaurants and Stein Eriksen Lodge sit together, and it climbs from there into some of the most established ski-in/ski-out neighborhoods in Utah. You start the day halfway up the mountain instead of at the bottom, and many homes put the runs right outside the door.

Living Here

Silver Lake Village is the social center: a compact pedestrian base with lift access, a handful of restaurants and the sun-soaked ski beach outside McHenry's. Stein Eriksen Lodge anchors the village, and the Goldener Hirsch residences add a newer, Auberge-managed option. Main Street is roughly a ten-minute drive down the hill, so you are close to town without living in it.

Winters are about skiing. Summers are quieter and green, with Deer Valley's trail network, outdoor concerts and cooler temperatures than the valley floor.

Homes and Pricing

Upper Deer Valley holds a wide range. Older condominiums near Silver Lake offer the most affordable entry to mid-mountain skiing. The Belles and Bald Eagle Club hold the area's signature ski homes, many on large lots with direct access to the runs. Value turns on three things: how good the ski access really is, the views, and the quality of the HOA and its amenities. Two homes a few hundred yards apart can differ by millions on those points alone.
